I've been the proud owner of the VZ-Pro for two years now and as much as I
like it, I am totally in love with your new Stealth Zoom. Combined with your
mono pod system it is an unbeatable combination. Currently my company Salt Run Productions, is producing a 22 episode
environmental series for Turner South called The Natural South. I am using
two Betacams for most of my interviews and a tricked out PD-150 for 'B' roll
and walking interviews. I just took delivery of the Stealth Zoom and was
amazed at how smooth the zooms were...in fact I am stoked!
I'm using Micro Force controls on my Beta packages and your Stealth Zoom
rivals their zoom functions. I love the way I can quickly mount the zoom on
either a tripod handle or the mono pod and the fluid operation, particularly
with slow zooms, is just amazing.. As a matter of fact we wound up shooting
almost an entire episode with my PD-150 because of the Stealth Kit. I could
not be more pleased...and at under $300, NOBODY who shoots Mini-DV should be
without one. I am a customer for life !
"Yesterday I received the Varizoom VZ-Pro-L. Today I took it out on a 13 hour shoot here in Alaska. The weather was nasty and the shooting was tough.
