- Wide-sweep variable rocker for smooth, sustainable zooms
- Dedicated “rocker style” focus button
- Low profile record/pause button
- LED light indicates recording and low battery power
- Power On/Off button for toggling camera into or out of standby mode*
- Switch between auto and manual focus with the ‘A’ button*
- Toggle onscreen information (tape time, settings) on and off with ‘Data’ button*
- Iris control (F+/F-) *
- NOTE: for VZROCK and VZSTEALTHLX the “A” button, “ON” button and “DATA” button do not work with Panasonic cameras.
- * these features only work with some cameras that have them enabled in their software
The VZROCK zoom and focus control has been in production since 2003 and has an impressive track record in the field. Every unit is tested with a real camera and we back it up with a 2-year no-nonsense warranty. Shooters around the world rely on the VariZoom VZROCK to give them remote control of their camera on tripods, jibs, camera towers, shoulder supports and more. We also sell extension cords in 4 different lengths and converter cables for cameras that do not have a direct 2.5mm LANC port.

Hi Ron,
Unfortunately this camera does not have the LANC protocol, so it is not compatible. You’ll have to go with the Sony remote RM-VPR1.
Thanks,
Tom

Varizoom Rock is the bomb! – had a AX33, but won’t adapt to a Rock – ( ive used the rock with many Hi8 & miniDV camcorders for years, with great success ) – I know its ~$500 more, but dump that AX33 and get an AX100 — it takes 2 adapters to connect to the multi-connector, but its worth it (Sony and Manfrotto controllers, UGH!)…

I am using this remote with a Canon XA11 and it is wonderful! Zoom is very precise. Can be slow or really quick. Focus control is OK, a knob would be better, but it does work. I have not been able to adjust the Iris or data. Start/stop is good.

Which model work with bmpcc4k thanks
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Watch Unwatch Flag for removal
Tom Smith –
Any of the LANC controls will work, but the functionality will depend on the lens being used and the selected model. For example, if the lens has powered zoom, then you will be able to control zoom, but if it is a manual zoom then you won’t be able to control zoom – https://www.varizoom.com/product-category/lens-controls/lanc-for-sony-canon-panasonic/

What functions are compatible with the Sony HXR-MC88?
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Watch Unwatch Flag for removal
Tom Smith –
Hi Greg,
At a minimum, you should have zoom, focus and record control, and the LED should work. Without testing, I’m not sure about the additional features. It always depends on which remote features are enabled within the camera itself.
Thanks,
Tom

Adam Szofran –
Will this work with the Panasonic HC-X1500, HC-X2000, AG-CX10 (all very similar)? In particular, I’m interested in these features: record on/off, recording status light, zoom, power on/off. Thanks.

Hello Adam,
Yes, the VZROCK will work with the Panasonic HC-X1500, HC-X2000 and AG-CX10. Record, recording status light, and zoom work. I do not believe power on/off is supported in Panasonic cameras.
Thanks,
Tom

I’m am not certain about iris in particular with those specific camera models. Iris control is not always available in the camera’s remote software, but if it available then it should work.

Pablo –
Will it work with canon c100 mark II ?
Upvote if this was helpful (0) Downvote if this was not helpful (0) Watch Unwatch Flag for removal

It will have some function but mostly it depends on the lens that is attached. For example, you’ll only get zoom with a CN-E 18-80 or 70-200 lens, as regular EF photo lenses don’t have zoom motors built in.
