Description

This is the ultimate low-cost on-camera monitor kit. The VZTFT7 7″ monitor can be used a variety of ways, most importantly as a large external video display that allows the shooter to step back from the camera rather than standing hunched over while looking through a typically inadequate viewfinder. It can also be used as a lightweight field monitor, remote viewing display, or portable playback screen. This monitor easily switches between 4:3 and 16:9 aspect ratio. When combined with VariZoom lens controls, you have a studio package comparable to much more expensive setups.

  • Vivid, sharp 7″ color LCD/LED screen in 16:9 aspect ratio
  • NEW – Lower power consumption for double the battery life (12V input, 4.5W max)
  • Lightweight, compact, rugged design
  • Includes universal AC adapter (100-240VAC input), 4′ RCA cable, VZ-702M rechargeable Li-Ion battery kit, VZ-CC padded case, VZ-Shoe swivel shoemount, VZ-HD7 sunhood
  • Compatible with NTSC and PAL standards (autoswitch)

Customer Reviews

I had been looking for a monitor to use in the field. This one is just what I needed and for the cost you can not beat it. In addition the base is a battery and you have enough time to comfortably do what needs to be done without worrying about running out of time. I would say its a go.

GREAT OUTDOOR PRODUCTION KIT FOR EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE, QUALITY, GREAT PRODUCT

I do a lot of web videos and videos for presentations with a Sony shoulder cam which only has a very small display. Thats why the monitor kit is extremly helpful. Installing is a little bit boring, but once I have did it, everything’s perfect.

This monitor produces an excellent image. Much easier to see than the 2 1/2″ built on the camera. The sun-hood works great for being able to see a crisp clean image of what you are shooting. Works great with the Sony HXR-MC2000U.

I use this primarily when the camera is tripod mounted, and it provides a much better way of viewing than a viewfinder or a 2.5″ screen.

Extremely easy to set up and configure — lots of mounting options and power sources (battery, AC, cigarette lighter).

Easily switches between 16:9 and 4:3 and some great color and brightness settings.

We’ve not tested this in the field, but we are extremely pleased with the quality of the monitor. It’s a great price.

I am using this to view on playback, as a screen for the producer to view and to “run and gun”. I also just used this on location where my camera needed to be in on spot “covert” and I was 50′ away using my remote control to start and stop recording. This screen is a gem.
